DC MOTOR:

                        A DC Motor is a device which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy.
               The first DC motor was invented in 1832 by a British scientist William Sturgeon.
CONSTRUCTION:
                A DC motor consist of:

• split rings
• carbon brushes
• permanent magnet
• coil of copper wire

             and

• inverters

SPEED OF A DC MOTOR DEPENDS UPON:

• magnetic field of a permanent magnet
• no. of turns in the rotor
• the voltage across the armature
