INTRODUCTION TO PINHOLE CAMERA
A pinhole camera is an important optical instrument.It was first invented by a Muslim scientist Ibn-ul-Haitham in sixteenth century to obtain the image of sun eclipse without damaging the eyesight.It is also known as "Camera Obscure"(dark room).
CONSTRUCTION OF A PINHOLE CAMERA
MATERIAL:
Pinhole camera consist of a:
rectangular light proof box
a needle for making small hole in the box
brass shim or can
photographic paper
PROCESS:
1)Take a rectangular box and cover it with a dark paper or cloth so that light cannot enter the box.
2)With the help of a needle, make a small hole on one side of the box.
3)On the inner side of the box stick a small piece of can or brass shim having a tiny hole.
4)Cover the pinhole with a shutter.

TESTING:
For testing your camera,inset a photographic plate on the opposite side of the hole.For better results try to capture the image in sunlight.
For capturing the image,open the shutter for 25-30 seconds and then close it.Go to a dark room and develop your photograph.
